TL;DR

  • FCS playoffs first round features eight games this Saturday.
  • Fans are unhappy with all games kicking off at 12 noon or 1 p.m. ET.
  • The NCAA FCS playoff schedule is criticized for not being spread out.
  • Suggestions include capitalizing on the holiday period for better game distribution.

Fans of FCS football have a big Saturday on tap.

It's the first round of the FCS playoffs, and there are eight games on the schedule.

But fans of the sport in general aren't happy. The games aren't spread out.

Three games kick off at 12 noon ET.

The other five kick off at 1 p.m. ET.

A game might have even occurred on Black Friday evening. It's a holiday period. Why not capitalize on it?

Instead, there's a lot to watch all at once, for anyone who wants to follow multiple games.

It's certainly not ideal.
