Carson Beck's tattoos, explained
It all began in 2018, Beck's junior year of high school. He had just transferred to Mandarin High School and played his season-opener on a Friday night in August. The following morning, he got the worst news possible.
Dominic Allmond, Beck's best friend since he was 6 years old, had died the night before in a one-man car accident.
Beck decided to dedicate his football season to Dom, as he was known. He wrote "LLD" on his cleats. That phrase, which meant "Long Live Dom," would later become his first tattoo, according to DawgNation. It's hidden most of the time but appears to be stamped by a heart.
Beck has added a few more tattoos since then.
His left leg is covered in cursive sayings. "Carpe Diem," which means to seize the day, sits right above his knee. He has a longer phrase on the outside of his calf which can hardly be read from a distance because of the cursive. It's written above a rocket ship that's basting off.
On the inside of his calf, he has roses with scrolls winding around them. On there are two initials, T.B. And K.B., presumably for his mother Tracy and sister Kylie. Below the roses is another short phrase dedicated to his Christian faith.

The QB added more designs over the summer, including the number 904, the area code for his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.

The entirety of his right forearm sleeve includes a partial of a tiger's face, its eyes glaring on the outside of Beck's arm. On the inside is a clock, it's face in roman numerals. A bird flies just above it, as the design travels towards the elbow. The number 145 is inked above the bird's head.

Beck added to his collection ahead of the 2024 season, cloaking his upper throwing arm in a sea of ink. He hasn't yet revealed the source of inspiration for his latest piece, although his mural does appear to include a gladiator scrawled across his brachial and some sort of bird or phoenix on his biceps.

The intricacies of Beck's tattoos can hardly be identified from a distance. Smoke on the clock, small, unreadable words. It can be assumed most of those designs are for his family, friends and faith, just like the others.
How fitting Beck earned the role of starting quarterback for a standout team after adding more standout tattoos.
