Cal football woke up Saturday morning to some good news.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has made his transfer portal decision, and it'll make the Golden Bears happy.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, JKS is coming back,
"Sources: Cal star true freshman QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has committed to return to Cal," Thamel wrote on X on Saturday morning. "He’s a former 5-star recruit who won the starting job as a true freshman in the opener, joining only Jared Goff to do that at the school."

JKS should get a chance to shine in a bowl game to end this true freshman season, too, after a 7-5 regular season.
Sagapolutele so far has played in 12 games.
He led the ACC in both pass completions and pass attempts.
The lefty has completed 63.6% of his passes for 3,117 yards. He has thrown 17 touchdowns compared to nine interceptions.
Sagapolutele also has added three touchdowns on runs.
As Thamel wrote, true freshmen don't start at quarterback often for Cal. Only the future No. 1 overall pick, Goff, did that.
Sagapolutele became the second, and a promising first season with the Golden Bears will create optimism about the future, thanks to the good news that JKS is coming back.
