The Memphis Tigers' football season took a potentially big turn last weekend.
That's when star quarterback Brendon Lewis was sacked, and he had to exit the eventual loss to UAB with a lower-body injury.
At the start of this week, head coach Ryan Silverfield called Lewis "day to day."
Gameday is here now, with Memphis set to play USF on Saturday. And it's still a question mark.
Is Brendon Lewis playing today?
Brendon Lewis is still a true question mark for Saturday's game.
He's listed as questionable on the Memphis gameday injury report put out Saturday morning.
There wasn't really any news on the status of Lewis between the early-week "day to day" pronouncement and now this gameday questionable designation.
The betting line for this game has moved significantly, having shifted as much as a touchdown favorite to USF.
UPDATE: Lewis is going through pregame warmups and will attempt to play.
If Lewis plays, Memphis has a real chance to bounceback with a win over the ranked Bulls team.
But if Lewis is out, it could be tough sledding for the Tigers at home.
