6 best games on 2026 SEC football schedule image

The Southeastern Conference unveiled the full schedule on Thursday night during a live show on SEC Network. The opponents were already known, but we now have dates for the season.

There are six key matchups to watch starting early in the season. Here's a look at the best of the best.

Week 3: LSU at Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford to open the SEC slate for both teams. There will be many storylines throughout this one. The Tigers won't have the same level of emotion as the Rebels.

Week 6: Georgia at Alabama

The SEC Championship Game rematch should carry some postseason implications. This will be a good test for both teams at the midway point.

Week 6: Red River Rivalry Oklahoma vs Texas in Dallas

There's no need to hype this one up. The Sooners and Longhorns know what's on the line.

Week 10: Alabama at LSU

We'll have a pretty good indication what Kiffin's first season will look like at this point. However, both teams could boost this rivalry up.

Week 13: Auburn at Alabama

The Iron Bowl always carries postseason implications beyond just the scoreboard. We'll see what next year's Tide and Tigers matchup will bring.

Week 13: Texas at Texas A&M

Another in-state rivalry between foes. If this year’s 10-point win by the Longhorns was any indication of what's coming next year, buckle up. It's going to be wild.
