2026 College Football Hall of Fame class loaded with iconic names image

On Wednesday, the National Football Foundation announced its list of 22 names to be inducted into the college football hall of fame in December of 2026.

According to CBS Sports, the list of 22 names includes 18 players and four head coaches.

The players account for a Heisman Trophy as well as 10 unanimous first-team All American selections. The four coaches included won 48 conference championships combined.

"Each of these legends ranks among the absolute best to have ever played or coached the game, and we look forward to adding their incredible accomplishments to those permanently enshrined in the NFF Hall of Fame," NFF chairman Archie Manning said in a release.

Mark Ingram (Alabama) and Peter Warrick (Florida State) are the two players on the list that won National Championships. However, 14 of the 18 won at least one conference championship. Eleven of the 18 also went on to have noteworthy NFL careers, including 10 first round picks.
