The opening weekend of the 2025 season featured three matchups between top-10 teams: Texas-Ohio State (No. 2 vs. No. 1), LSU-Clemson (No. 9 vs. No. 4) and Notre Dame-Miami (No. 6 vs. No. 10). Those games will be tough acts to follow, especially since this weekend has just one contest between top-25 teams on the docket: No. 15 Michigan vs. No. 18 Oklahoma.

The eyes of the college football world will be locked on true freshman Bryce Underwood, who became the youngest starting quarterback in program history last week and is looking for the most important win of his career thus far. In the Wolverines' season opener against New Mexico, he completed 21 of his 31 pass attempts (67.7%) for 251 yards and one touchdown in a 34-17 victory over the Lobos.

Oklahoma will also have its offense led by a signal caller new to his program this season in redshirt junior John Mateer, who had a strong individual showing in the team's 35-3 win over Illinois State. Mateer, a transfer from Washington State, completed 31 of his 37 pass attempts (81.1%) for 392 yards, three touchdowns and one interception against the Redbirds.
