Miami Hurricanes running back Mark Fletcher Jr. Was caught throwing a punch at Indiana defensive lineman Tyrique Tucker in the moments following the College Football Playoff national championship loss.
Video circulating on social media showed Fletcher swinging at Tucker in the immediate aftermath of Indiana’s 27-21 victory, which capped an undefeated season and delivered the program its first national title.
The cause of the confrontation was unclear. As the two players squared up, Miami assistant coaches quickly stepped between them and pushed Fletcher away before the situation escalated.

Fletcher provided one of Miami’s few highlights. After a scoreless first half that ended with the Hurricanes trailing 10-0, he ignited the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium with a 57-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter.
Indiana ultimately held on, becoming college football’s first 16-0 champion in 132 years.
