Here's the detail everyone missed when Miami's Carson Beck said he isn't taking any classes image

The clip went viral. It was Miami Hurricanes QB Carson Beck saying that he's not taking any classes and that he graduated two years ago.

It missed key context, though, and painted things differently than they really are as The U tries to win the national championship on Monday night against Indiana.

That wasn't the end of Beck's answer. It was just the part that got clipped and shared on social media:

This is Beck's whole answer, shared by The Athletic's Chris Vannini:

"No class. I graduated two years ago. Obviously I've been working toward other degrees now that I've gotten to Miami, but these programs take a little longer than just a year to finish. Obviously I'm not enrolling again next semester. So I'll be done after this season. Man, it's been awesome for this university, for this fan base, for this city, especially to have the opportunity to play in Hard Rock. You can see, we're walking out of the facility yesterday, there's a ton of fans, a ton of people. Everyone's screaming, yelling, cheering. It's been an awesome, awesome opportunity for this team. I know all of us are super excited about it."

Vannini adds that it's normal for a guy on Beck's timeline to not be enrolled in classes for the spring semester.

When this season ends, Beck will be preparing for the NFL Draft.

So this winds up being a lot of to-do about nothing.
