Gus Johnson, the Fox play-by-play man, just kept saying one word: "Unbelievable."

On this play, he was very, very right.

Indiana's Fernando Mendoza tossed a prayer to the back of the end zone.

Hoosiers wideout Omar Cooper rose up.

Cooper snagged the ball at the pinnacle of its flight. And as he came down and began to be shoved out of bounds, he just got a foot down. Just.

From down 24-20 to up 27-24 with 36 seconds left, Indiana may have saved its spotless season.

Why did the Indiana TD count vs. Penn State?

It certainly helped IU that it was called a touchdown on the field, because it was going to be tough to overturn.

It's hard to tell which foot actually hits the ground first.

If it's the right, it'd count as in since it's just the toe tap and then it comes back up.

If it's the left, it does appear that foot just barely squeaks all the way inside the white line.

Cooper only needs one foot down for it to count as a touchdown in college. But if any piece of that first foot instead hit the white line, it'd be an incompletion.

In the end, the officials upheld the call, and Indiana had an epic TD.
