Urban Meyer puts massive label on Indiana football after Ohio State upset image

Former Ohio State Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer has seen enough from the Indiana Hoosiers to finally solidify an historic two-season turnaround under coach Curt Cignetti.

Cignetti's Hoosiers beat No. 1 Ohio State this past Saturday in Indianapolis to propel them to the No. 1 overall seed in the College Football Playoff and a Rose Bowl berth New Year's Day in Pasadena.

Meyer was blunt, but incredibly positive about the Hoosiers entering the College Football Playoff as he glowed about how their turnaround will go down in college football history forever.

“This is the greatest turnaround in the history of our sport,” Meyer said after the game. “Not even close. The best coaching job I’ve seen in my life—and in the history of the sport.”

Coming from someone who oversaw years of success in Columbus and saw his former team lose minutes prior Saturday night, that's quite the praise from Meyer.

Cignetti, meanwhile, isn't satisfied with just being good. He wants his Hoosiers to be great.

"We are Big Ten Champions, and you talk about changing the way people think, I got three and a half weeks to get this team humble and hungry for the playoffs," Cignetti said.

Whether Indiana can keep its momentum alive remains to be seen. But it seems clear the Hoosiers have made Meyer a believer.
