There may not be a bigger game in Indiana football history than Saturday night's clash with the Ohio State Buckeyes at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Buckeyes have dominated the series for the better part of 40 years, but this year's edition may be the one where the Hoosiers finally break through. Just ask ESPN's Greg McElroy.

McElroy previewed the title game on "Always College Football" earlier this week, offering a surprising rationale about how he suspects it plays out.

“I think Indiana is far more capable this year to pull off the upset,” McElroy said. “But I think their secondary is going to struggle with Ohio State’s length at wide receiver. I think they need a couple of turnovers to steal it. I don’t think they will. Give me the Buckeyes, I think they get it done.”

Given Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin has own thrown five interceptions, getting even one turnover may be too far-fetched.

But, Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said he loves his team's chances.

"What I can tell you about this football team is we’ve met every challenge up to this point because we prepare consistently the way you need to prepare and put it on the field, and all three phases have been very consistent," Cignetti said. "That’s what it’s going to take this week, detailed preparation, commit to the preparation, eliminate the noise and the clutter, put yourself in the best position to play your best on Saturday individually and collectively."

Should the Hoosiers pull off the unthinkable, it will be a game that will be remembered for a very long time and one that could set up a colossal rematch in the postseason based on how both teams wind up seeding-wise.

Even more so, this could be a game where a rivalry is officially formed amongst modern college football fans. Both are two of the superpowers in the Big Ten, which is what makes the matchup so intriguing.

In a matter of hours, all of the key questions will be answered.
