The Indiana Hoosiers remain the biggest story in college football today. More specifically, the highly-touted Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza is beginning to get nods of approval about his greatness.

Just ask former NFL wideout Dez Bryant, who spent seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before brief stints with the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens.

Mendoza isn't just great, according to Bryant. He's in a different league of quarterbacks altogether.

“No.. And Mendoza better,” Bryant wrote on X, distinctly categorizing him as a better quarterback than Sam Bradford's Oklahoma stint.

While draft analyst Mel Kiper didn't go that far, he did give Mendoza the credit he felt he deserved.

“Mendoza is getting the ball out quicker. And while he doesn’t have a huge arm, he can make all the necessary NFL-level throws,” Kiper wrote on ESPN recently. “His ball placement is fantastic. I wouldn’t consider him a dual threat, but Mendoza also has enough mobility to pick up first downs as a scrambler.”

With Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore deciding to stay put, it gives Mendoza even more leverage to be selected No. 1 overall.
