Gunner Stockton does it all for the Georgia Bulldogs.
The star quarterback doesn't just run the show on offense. He's also the holder for extra points and field goals.
It's not a usual role to have the starting QB be the holder, but that's what Georgia does.

Why is Gunner Stockton the holder for Georgia?
It's simply a role that Stockton already had.
He had been involved in the holder depth chart before taking over as QB for Carson Beck last year.
It's one of those spots where once you have a reliable guy, you don't really want to mess with it.
There isn't really any major risk for Stockton, who mostly catches the snap with his left hand based on the angle. It'd be unlikely for him to hurt his right hand in any way on the play.
There's also the tiny but real factor that Stockton would be a much more dangerous option to carry out a fake if Georgia opted to run a trick play.
It's not a necessity that Stockton holds, but at this point, the Bulldogs have no reason to mix it up, either.
