Nick Saban is truly enjoying his time being on television. The ESPN College GameDay analyst seems to have no desire to make a coaching return and why would he?
The audience would be robbed of key facts like who is his favorite college football team? Well, there's very little surprise that title goes to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Because outside of his network gig, Saban next paycheck comes from the biggest organization in Tuscaloosa.
The former Alabama offered an answer when asked about his favorite college football teams during Saturday’s broadcast.
“Well, my favorite team is Alabama,” Saban said. “My backup team is Georgia because I had a house there.”

The response sent the GameDay crew into laughter and was a reminder why this is the best version of the seven-time national champion coach. He's definitely one of ESPN’s most popular additions and quickly becoming a staple for the sport in a different way.
While Saban’s affection for Alabama is unwavering, but his nod to the Georgia Bulldogs reflects the deep respect for his former assistant Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs program.
The fifth-ranked SEC contender continues their march toward another College Football Playoff berth. Saban’s “backup team” might not need much backing, but Saban seems to be on board. Just not against Alabama, of course.
