Georgia has canceled two future non-conference home-and-home series, continuing a wave of scheduling adjustments as the SEC prepares to expand its league slate.

The school announced it mutually agreed to terminate scheduled series with Louisville and NC State. The Bulldogs had been set to face Louisville in 2026 and 2027, while matchups with NC State were slated for 2033 and 2034.

Georgia said all parties will explore the possibility of scheduling neutral-site games at a later date, according to On3’s Brett McMurphy.

With the cancellation mutual, neither school will owe the other a cancellation fee. This is per the copy of the game contract obtained in a prior records request via FBBSchedules.com. Damages for cancellation of the series were $1 million for each game, and $2 million for the second game if it was canceled after the first game was played.

The cancellations come as the SEC moves to a nine-game conference schedule beginning in 2026. It's a trend happening across the college football landscape to stay ahead of the demands for the postseason.

Georgia’s 2026 SEC opponents have already been revealed, including road trips to Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. They'll have a home slate against Oklahoma, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. Florida remains a neutral-site contest in Atlanta.

For next year, Georgia’s confirmed non-conference slate features Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, and Georgia Tech, all at Sanford Stadium.
