Florida transfer QB DJ Lagway rumors include ACC, Big 12 as destination waits image

The transfer portal quarterback market has moved quickly, but there are still a few big names out there.

One of them, Florida transfer QB DJ Lagway, has just about as impressive a pedigree as anyone still available. But he's yet to choose a destination as the rumor mill continues.

Lagway has reportedly visited Virginia and Florida State. He's supposed to go to Baylor on Wednesday.

Any of these would be quality landing spots for Lagway.

When he arrived to the Gators for the 2024 season, Lagway was one of the best players in his class.

Then, when he had a rapid-fire finish to his true freshman season, it looked like Lagway was setting up for big things in 2025.

But then his sophomore campaign didn't go according to plan, and as Florida changed coaches, Lagway chose to move on.

Now, he comes with at least a bit of risk. The tools are clearly there, but the entire package hasn't always shown up.

That's why the teams after him aren't quite the top-of-the-line programs, but ones just below that who would love to ascend to that level.

If Lagway reaches his potential, he can lift a team to new heights for the next year or two. That's the chance someone will be pursuing if they're able to land the former Florida QB in the transfer portal.
