Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton plans to enter the transfer portal after two seasons with Deion Sanders in Boulder, according to On3.

Seaton was a five-star plus+ recruit in the 2024 class and the highest-ranked signee for Colorado in more than a decade. He immediately made an impact under Sanders, starting all 13 games as a true freshman and earning Freshman All-America honors.

Seaton was the highest-graded true freshman offensive tackle in pass protection with at least 100 snaps and did not allow a sack in 11 of his first 13 games. His early success led to multiple preseason All-America and All-Big 12 selections entering his sophomore campaign.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound product of IMG Academy remained one of the nation’s top pass protectors, posting a 91.4 PFF grade through the first month of the season — the highest mark in the country at the time. While his run blocking drew some criticism, Seaton still earned second-team All-Big 12 honors.

Seaton was ranked the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle and rated as the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle. A Washington, D.C., native, he finished his prep career at IMG before heading to Colorado. He was top of Colorado’s 2024 recruiting class, with quarterback Shedeur Sanders playing a role in his recruitment. Seaton reportedly turned down a lucrative multi-million dollar NIL offer from Tennessee to sign with the Buffaloes.

In a statement on Instagram, Seaton thanked Colorado’s staff, teammates and fans, calling Boulder “a place I will always consider home.”

Seaton's departure is the latest in a wave of portal exits following a disappointing 2025 season for the Buffaloes. Sanders and his staff will need a true overhaul to replace the outgoing talent.
