The college basketball world is changing quickly.
Baylor is about to have a center, James Nnaji, who was previously the No. 31 overall draft pick by the New York Knicks, has played in NBA Summer League and has also played multiple seasons for Barcelona in the EuroLeague.
It's got other former hoops standouts wondering if their eligibility can bring them back to school.
One of them? Joe Girard III.
The former Syracuse and Clemson guard posted this on X on Wednesday after the Nnaji news:
😳😳. During Covid We Had A Few Games Cancelled Because Of Contract Tracing, Does That Mean I Can Fight For A Semester Of Eligibility?!!?!?! 👀😂 https://t.co/cPJUODpfpN

JG3 was always a fan favorite with the Orange.
He came to Syracuse from Glens Falls north of Albany. In high school Girard was New York state's all-time leading scorer.
At SU, he remained a strong ball handler, shooter and scorer before spending his final college season in a different color of Orange at Clemson.
No one in Syracuse would complain if they got to play Girard some more.
