Duke basketball's 2026 recruiting class surges to No. 3 behind Williams' commitment image

The Duke Blue Devils find themselves back among the recruiting elite, jumping to No. 3 nationally in the 2026 cycle, according to ESPN

Thanks to the commitment of five-star big man Cameron Williams (No. 3 overall). Coach Jon Scheyer was able to secure Williams over Arizona and Texas, giving Duke a potential NBA lottery talent forward.

The class also features shooting wing Bryson Howard (No. 20) and project center Maxime Meyer, rounding out a class ready to contribute. Williams elevates the entire class and gives Duke a foundation around a high-ceiling big man.

As the Blue Devils continue to chase remaining five-stars like Jordan Smith and Deron Rippey Jr., the momentum is clearly building in Durham to the level Coach K established.

With players who can make an immediate impact and some with long-term potential, Duke’s 2026 haul may set the tone for its next chapter.
