Duke is getting one of its five-star freshmen back.
It might not be Cooper Flagg, but it's still good news for Jon Scheyer and company.
The Blue Devils announced on Tuesday that 6-foot-6 guard Isaiah Evans is returning to Durham.
Evans was a top-20 recruit in his class but was overshadowed this past season by Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach.
When given the chance, Evans himself shone brightly.
His final average was 6.8 points per game, but he had multiple impressive scoring outputs in the double digits.

Evans is a fantastic shooter, checking in at 41.6 percent from deep. That's a skill that will work out nicely for him no matter who is on the court around him.
Evans averaged just 13.8 minutes per game.
You'd expect that to rise in his sophomore season, especially given this choice to return versus testing professional or transfer waters.
It'll still be a star-studded Duke group for Scheyer, with the 5-star Boozer twins part of the incoming group that should contend for another ACC title.
Evans' relative experience will be a good thing. Players like him in a strong system like this often are able to show the way to the newcomers while taking a huge personal step forward.
It's a perfect bridge from one era of Duke basketball to the next.
The Flagg show may have only lasted one season, but the lessons from this year can be passed on to the next by Evans.
He'll still likely have a bright professional future. A big sophomore season with another 40 percent mark from deep could make him a 2026 lottery pick.
