Isaiah Evans was around last year, but the Duke Blue Devils had a lot of names who were bigger than him.

Back for another go at it, Evans is showing this season how much he truly belongs for this great basketball team.

On Saturday against Florida State, Evans had a huge game:

  • 28 points
  • 3 rebounds
  • 1 assist
  • 1 steal
  • 2 blocks
  • 8-17 FG
  • 6-14 3FG
  • 6-6 FTs

He is now 11th in Duke history in games with at least five 3-pointers made, according to Real Sports.

Is that a bit of a specific stat? Sure.

But it also shows that Evans continues to prove himself with the Blue Devils.

His shooting is potent, a skill that can help him not just in college but also bring him to the next level.

Duke needed every bit of Evans' shooting on Saturday. The Seminoles were pesky and ended up only losing by four.

But of Duke's high-scoring 91-87 win, Evans showed how special he can be with his season-high 28 points.

He'll want to keep it going, but on this day, Evans had plenty of reason to smile and just keep letting it fly.
