When the Utah Jazz initially acquired Kevin Love, there was a pretty strong feeling he'd never actually play a minute for his new team. He'd get moved along in another trade, or he'd get waived and allowed to sign elsewhere in free agency.
But Love is playing for the Jazz after all. And on Friday night, he had a throwback performance.
Utah needed every bit of Love's big night in a 130-126 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
The future Hall of Famer came off the bench, and in 20 minutes, he scored 20 points and snatched eight rebounds.
He added an assist and a block while making 8-of-15 shots from the floor and 4-of-10 shots from beyond the arc.

It wasn't the biggest night for the Jazz -- that honor went to Keyonte George, who put up a career-high 39 points.
But without Love's contribution, Utah would've come up short.
Love has now played in 15 games this season, and he's averaging 6.5 points a night, so this isn't the norm.
But it's clear that Love still has that talent inside him. The Jazz are giving him a place where he feels comfortable, and he's looking quite a bit like his old self.
