The Raptors were reported to be one of the teams in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, but ultimately fell short of getting a deal done.

Are the Raptors looking to make a big trade?

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Monday that the Raptors could move their 2025 pick for an "upgrade' to their roster.

As is the case for several other past underdogs in the East, next season could be a tremendous chance for these types of teams to capitalize and make a run through what was a tough Eastern Conference.

The Raptors have the ninth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft despite a solid roster, so if they are looking to edge toward being a competitive playoff team next season, trading a valuable pick away can get them a good return.

There are plenty of talented players that are still available, as well as ones that will become available in the coming weeks, so the Raptors have a lot of options when it comes to moving this pick ahead of the draft.
