San Antonio Spurs star center Victor Wembanyama has been on a minutes restriction since returning to the organization’s lineup following a somewhat lengthy injury absence (one month due to a left calf strain).

Still, the former No. 1 overall pick hasn’t allowed his minor setback to negatively affect his production, as he’s played well for San Antonio off the bench in limited minutes.

Most recently, Wembanyama recorded 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four blocks against the Washington Wizards (Thursday night) in a 119-94 victory.

Shortly after the 25-point beatdown, the X/Twitter account ‘OptaSTATS’ announced that Wembanyama had just made history that had never been accomplished before.

“In his four career games against the Wizards, Victor Wembanyama has tallied 127 points, 40 rebounds, 15 made threes, and 15 blocks,” the data/in-depth analysis account stated.

“No other player in NBA history has reached those marks in his first four games against any team.”

While it’s still early in his career, the 21-year-old has proven that he’s a generational talent with a ceiling higher than every center in his age bracket.

If Wembanyama continues to terrorize opponents with his guard-like offensive skill set and cheat code defensive chops, the rising 19-7 Spurs should expect to earn their first postseason berth since 2019.

Wembanyama, who’s averaging 25.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game with San Antonio this season, is just getting started in the big leagues.
