The San Antonio Spurs have been impressive this season and seem ahead of schedule, with a roster riddled with youth. They currently sit at 15-7 and are the 5th seed, only a game behind Los Angeles at 2.
San Antonio also has the best home record in the Western Conference at 9-2 outside of OKC (11-0).
They've been able to sustain a decent level of play despite some injuries to arguably their two most important players.

The Spurs have been without their superstar Victor Wembanyama as well as budding young star Stephon Castle since mid-November, but that could be set to change here as early as this week.
Updates on Wembanyama and Castle revealed
The return of both the Spurs' young stars can not come soon enough, especially with the NBA Cup knockout stage beginning. Thanks to updates from Spurs beat reporter Jeff McDonald, we now know where they both stand.
Stephon Castle, who's been out due to a hip, not only fully practiced today, but has not been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Pelicans.

Castle "has not been ruled out" for a Monday return, per @JMcDonald_SAEN.
Stephon Castle has had an excellent year two showing so far, averaging 17.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 7.5 APG, and 1.7 SPG.
Victor Wembanyama, on the other hand, isn't just a solid young player for San Antonio; he's the face of the franchise and possibly the league.
Wembanyama fully practiced today as well, but his status is a bit more in the air.

Wembanyama is not expected to play on Monday; "iffy" for NBA Cup game on Wednesday, per @JMcDonald_SAEN.
While Wembanyama is almost certainly out against the Pelicans tomorrow, for Wednesday's NBA Cup game against the Lakers, he remains questionable.
With both players being so young, as well as the season being young, the Spurs are going to make sure and take their time getting both of these guys back.
