In Jalen Green's first game back since early November, the 24-year-old will come off the bench for the Phoenix Suns in its matchup against the Philadelphia Suns on Wednesday, head coach Jordan Ott told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.

He will also receive a minutes restriction.

Green is making his long-awaited return for the Suns after re-aggravating a hamstring strain he's been dealing with since training camp during the offseason.

Jalen Green's lingering hamstring strain

The setback has limited him to playing in just two games so far this season. In his team debut, Green had an electric 29 points while adding three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

In his second game of the season, Green suffered the setback.

Early in the first quarter of the Nov. 8 contest against the Los Angeles Clippers, Green stepped awkwardly and walked off the court in the middle of the play.

33 games later, Green is healthy enough to play again.

Suns fans are hoping that the injury bug is behind the first-year Sun, and they are able to watch him consistently after getting traded to the team this offseason in the deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.

In his five-year career, Jalen Green has averaged 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 42.2 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three.
