You just have to watch Koby Brea shoot.
That's what he does. It's what he did at Dayton. It's what he did at Kentucky. And it's what he'll do for the Phoenix Suns after being taken with the No. 41 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Before we go any further, here's the footage:

His mechanics are nearly identical to Thompson, one of the top-five shooters in NBA history.
Thompson was a more prolific scorer coming out of Washington State, so this isn't to say that Brea will be Thompson exactly.
But Brea can shoot the heck out of it.
In his final season at Dayton, he made 49.8% of his 3s. Then in his lone season for Mark Pope at Kentucky, he made 43.5% from deep.
According to ESPN, his favorite player is Devin Booker, another great shooter and now his new teammate.
This pick could work out very nicely for Phoenix.
