This season, the Phoenix Suns have been a surprising team for the majority of the NBA community. They were not projected to reach the Playoffs because they parted ways with a superstar in Kevin Durant.

That has not stopped them from relying on Devin Booker leading the way. He is once again the Suns' superstar, but they have to cope without him for the next week. The same goes for Jalen Green, who continues to struggle with his hamstring.

The Suns must withstand a stretch without Booker and Green

Injuries have always been a terrible issue that most NBA teams are dealing with. This season, the Suns have done well without Green, who is the team's second-best player behind Booker.

Dillon Brooks has done a great job filling in for him, which is a surprising turnaround for him. Most people see him as a three-and-D guy at most, but he truly became a good two-way player for Phoenix this season.

Against the Miami Heat on Sunday, the Suns were without their star backcourt. Collin Gillespie and Grayson Allen filled in for them, while Brooks took the role as the number one option.

It almost worked out for them, as they lost the game 111-102. However, it did show that the Suns needed Booker and Green as soon as possible because all the attention is on Brooks.

"The ball has to swing side to side... Don’t make it so easy for teams to just switch and sit with a crowd and force us into some one-on-one stuff," Allen said about playing without Booker and Green.

"We’ve done it, we’ve done a great job of it throughout the year. It’s just different without Book out there, that you have to play that way for 48 minutes."

It will be a challenging stretch for the Suns without their star players. They do have a promising group of players who can get past this, especially with Allen and Gillespie.

Brooks will be the number one option, but there will be other players who will step up.
