Suns announce injury update on Jalen Green after exiting win vs. Clippers image

The start of Jalen Green's stint as a part of the Phoenix Suns will be put on hold until further notice.

Green, 23, exited the Suns' 114-103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 8 in the first quarter after suffering a hamstring strain. It is the same injury that resulted in him missing Phoenix's first eight games of the season.

Now, it appears that Green will be out for a lot longer than the first time he sustained the setback.

When will Jalen Green be back from his right hamstring strain?

Senior NBA insider Shams Charania announced on Tuesday that Jalen Green, "will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks."

With this being said, there's uncertainty on the timeline of his return. Although the re-evaluation was announced, Green will have to see if he's back at full health, and he will most likely go through a ramp-up process.

The 23-year-old was acquired by the Phoenix Suns in the record-setting summer deal that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets back in July. The deal included the Suns getting Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft (Khaman Maluach), and five second-round picks in exchange for Kevin Durant and Clint Capela.

Green's first full game as a part of the Suns was electric. Finishing with 29 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals while shooting 10-for-20 from the field.
