The Phoenix Suns have been a surprising story during the 2025-26 season. Due to Kevin Durant's departure to the Houston Rockets, many expected the Suns would continue to struggle.

That has not been the case because they have a decent squad. Devin Booker leads the way, but he has players like Dillon Brooks and Collin Gillespie helping the team succeed. However, they are still an incomplete team at the moment.

Booker knows Green will make the Suns even better

As the primary piece in the trade for Durant, Jalen Green is one of the most exciting players on the Suns roster. He is a hyper athlete who can jump higher than almost anyone in the league.

At the same time, Green is also quite talented offensively. He is a natural scorer who can drive into the paint with ease. That kind of scoring threat makes a team better because Green opens up the rest of his teammates.

In the 2024-25 season, when he played for the Rockets, Green averaged 21 points per game. Since he is used to playing with a star-level talent like Alperen Sengun, he looks like a natural fit alongside Booker.

Even Booker himself feels that Green will be a massive addition to the team. They would love to play alongside each other due to their complementary skill sets.

"We miss Jalen. I think Jalen is another person who will have rim presence for us and draw a lot of fouls. CG is really punctual; he can get to his middy. Grayson has some pressure, but we're all excited for Jalen," Booker said about Jalen Green's importance.

"He's been licking his chops for this moment, and I believe we've overdone it with keeping him out. He's gonna be healthy and be ready to go."

With Booker feeling this way, the Suns fans should be ecstatic with how well they can play together. They had one game this season before Green's second injury, but it would be great for everyone to see the potential become a reality.
