No one has ever made more 3-pointers in a Philadelphia 76ers uniform than Allen Iverson. However, that could change soon.
Heading into Philadelphia’s matchup with the New York Knicks on Saturday night, Tyrese Maxey needs just 80 made 3s to pass Iverson and become the all-time leader in franchise history.

Maxey is currently averaging 3.7 made 3-pointers per game this season. So based on that, it should take him between 21 and 22 games to pass Iverson and become the franchise leader.
The Sixers still have 50 games remaining on the current campaign. In other words, barring injury, Maxey will almost assuredly pass The Answer sometime this season.
For Maxey, he will be passing a player who he recently credited as a major influence.
"I think my fearlessness, I watched a lot of AI, too," Maxey said in during a recent appearance on the Eye for the Game podcast. "Just because, like, he was number 3. My thing is, I love number 3. Dwyane Wade. Allen Iverson. That’s where I get my fearlessness from just driving to the rim."
Given the support he has shown Maxey, and other young players in the league, it seems safe to assume that Iverson will be proud of Maxey when he ultimately does break the record.
