Now, Philadelphia has made its final decision on the 7-footer's status ahead of a clash with the L.A. Clippers on Monday. The 76ers will be the better-rested squad, as L.A. Will be playing its second game in as many nights after falling just short in a heartbreaking road rally effort against the Boston Celtics, which the Clippers ultimately lost 121-118 after a buzzer-beating heave from James Harden came up just short.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, hasn't played since suffering a 114-105 road defeat to the Detroit Pistons in an Emirates NBA Cup game on Friday.

Per the NBA's latest injury report, Embiid will sit out as he continues manage the injury.

Averaging just 23.3 minutes a night while playing under a minutes restriction (which had been designed to help him stay healthy coming back from an offseason knee surgery, but clearly failed), Embiid has been notching a stat line of 19.7 points on.460/.321/.829 shooting splits, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.5 blocks and 0.8 steals a night.

The Clippers will definitely be without former three-time All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal, who fractured his left hip and has been ruled out for the rest of the 2025-26 season. Six-time All-Star small forward Kawhi Leonard has been out since Nov. 3 with a "significant" sprained right ankle, and it's unclear when he'll be back.
