In their last matchup against the Phoenix Suns, the Oklahoma City Thunder won their 24th game of the season, improving to 24-1, tying an all-time record for best 25-game start in NBA history. As many know, the mark tied the Stephen Curry led 2015-16 Golden State Warriors who went on to set the record for most wins in a season (73).

Now that Oklahoma City is on the same pace as the 2015-16 Warriors, many have asked: Can they break the all-time wins record?

It's certainly possible. Many believe that Oklahoma City may rest their starters at the end of the year, causing them to lose games that may otherwise be wins. That said, just recently, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made his feelings clear on the debate.

When asked if breaking the record would mean anything to him, Shai responded: "Absolutely, winning matters."

One caveat of the 2015-16 Warriors is that despite setting the all-time wins record, the team failed to win an NBA title. As the season goes on, Oklahoma City will have to balance pursuing the record while also managing their efforts for a deep postseason run.

What's most impressive thus far about the Oklahoma City's title defense, is that they've broken these records without being fully healthy. Before Jalen Williams returned from injury, Isaiah Hartenstein went down with an injury of his own. This means that Oklahoma City has yet to play even a single game with the starting lineup they used throughout their championship run last season.

The Thunder return to action on Saturday, as they look to earn a trip to the NBA Cup Final on Tuesday.
