The Oklahoma City Thunder entered Tuesday night's game on the second night of a back-to-back, having defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

However, prior to last night's win against the Grizzlies, the Thunder had lost two of their last three games including an NBA Cup semifinals loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Tuesday's rematch gave the Thunder an opportunity for revenge against one of their Western Conference rivals.

Unfortunately for Oklahoma City, things didn't go as planned. Despite both Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren returning to the lineup after missing Monday's game, the Thunder were outmatched from start to finish.

Oklahoma City was outscored in every quarter but the second, including the fourth quarter where San Antonio outscored the defending champs 43-28.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 33 points weren't enough, as OKC turned the ball over 15 times to San Antonio's eight.

This added up to a 20-point loss for Oklahoma City, their largest defeat of the season. The Thunder have now lost three of their last five games and have dropped to 26-4 on the season.

Now with four losses before January, it's safe to ask: Is the all-time wins record slipping out of reach?

The 2015-16 Warriors who went 73-9 didn't suffer their fourth loss of the season until Jan. 16. At that point in the season, they were 37-4.

OKC would need to win their next 11 in a row to remain on that same pace.

Oklahoma City will have Christmas eve off before returining to action on Christmas day, facing the San Antonio Spurs once again.
