Why did the NBA get rid of special Christmas Day jerseys?
The Christmas Day jerseys were phased out when the NBA went from adidas jerseys to Nike jerseys.
There's no publicly stated reason for the change.
It was likely deemed inefficient to create a look that would only be worn once.
But it did add something special to the occasion.
At least players can still break out some colorful shoes to really spruce things up on Christmas.
