The final details on who will cover the NBA next season on Prime and NBC have been slowly revealed over the past few months.
On Tuesday, we were able to find out about another former player who will be joining the NBC studio crew as a new analyst.
What Hall of Famer is joining the NBC crew?
Awful Announcing reported that Tracy McGrady will be joining the team doing studio coverage for NBC starting next season.
He'll be joining Carmelo Anthony, as well as Vince Carter, who is famously McGrady's second cousin.
All three players had Hall of Fame careers and are some of the most intelligent minds that the game has.
McGrady announced, “Basketball has given me everything, and I’ve always just tried to give that same energy back. I hope I can bring the same passion, insight, and love for the game that’s driven me since I was a kid, to all who tune in to watch on NBC and Peacock. I couldn’t be more excited to join this team alongside so many others I admire” (Awful Announcing).

After years of mostly pre-2000s players being involved in the media, it may be a good thing to see more post-2000s players covering the NBA, as they see the game through a different perspective.
McGrady was one of the league's best scorers in the 2000s, winning two scoring titles, being named to numerous all-star teams, all-NBA teams and finishing high in MVP voting almost every season.
He played 15 seasons in the NBA, including stints with the Rockets, Magic, Raptors, Pistons, Knicks and Hawks.
