It feels as though the New York Knicks have completed a signing every other day ahead of their highly anticipated 2025-26 season.

On Wednesday, HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported that a 6-foot-6 former Golden State Warriors guard will join Jalen Brunson and the Knicks this year.

“The New York Knicks and Donovan Williams have agreed to a deal,” Scotto reported Wednesday.

"Williams averaged 17.8 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Westchester Knicks last season. He previously played in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks during the 2022-23 season.”

After competing with the Long Island Nets and Hawks/College Park Skyhawks, Williams inked a deal with the Warriors in 2023.

Unfortunately, Golden State parted ways with Williams before opening night, but the UNLV product signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors shortly after.

Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign, Williams took his talents to Canada, signing with the Scarborough Shooting Stars.

Last season, Williams appeared in 17 contests with the Knicks's G-League affiliate, but elected to leave the organization in late February to assist the Shanghai Sharks (China).

Although Williams has limited NBA experience (played in two contests with the Hawks in 2022-23), the Knicks saw something in the 24-year-old to bring him on board in early October.

It’ll be up to the Houston, Texas native to make the most of the upcoming opportunity.
