The New York Knicks got some good news regarding forward OG Anunoby, who has missed the last nine games for the Knicks due to a hamstring strain.
Per Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, Anunoby has been upgraded to questionable for Friday’s game against the Utah Jazz. Anunoby suffered the injury on Nov. 14 against the Miami Heat, and hasn’t played since.
Anunoby was off to a strong start to the season, averaging 15.8 points per game, with 1.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per night as well. After spending a couple weeks on the shelf, it looks like his return to the court is imminent.
The Knicks managed to survive Anunoby’s absence, and currently sit at 14-7, third in the Eastern Conference. His return should provide the Knicks with much needed wing depth, and make the team a more serious threat in a tough Eastern Conference.
