Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns keeps getting away with the most obvious travel image

A lot of forwards and centers in the NBA struggle with strict travel calls, but New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns seems to have found a way to avoid such calls with a unique technique that he put on show against the Charlotte Hornets last night.

In the NBA, a travel violation happens when a player takes more than two steps after gathering the ball without shooting, passing, or stopping.

There were several instances last night when Towns made sure that he didn't put a wrong foot while on his way to the rim. He did so by passing the ball to himself and then gathering and finishing with the shot or dunk.

It has been happening for quite a while now, and thus, fans are starting to notice this pattern, which was once thought to be unintentional.

Karl-Anthony Towns delivers strong performance in win against Hornets

The Knicks improved to 14-7 on Wednesday night, after registering a 119-104 win against the Hornets at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Karl-Anthony Towns was instrumental in the win, as he put up 35 points, 18 rebounds and five assists. This was his 16th double-double in 21 games this season.

Meanwhile, on the outside, Towns is constantly getting asked for his thoughts on his potential exit from the team through trade as the Knicks contemplate making the move for Giannis Antetokounmpo. He cited a strong connection with the front office, while adding that he wants to stay in New York.

“Hell yeah, hell yeah. I want to stay here,” Towns said. “Obviously, get a chance to be home, see my family. It means more than the money, you know. So just to be able to be here with the fans, be with the family. It means a lot. I would like it to continue.”

Only time will tell what the future holds for Karl-Anthony Towns but right now he is having fun out there.
