The New York Knicks are looking to make moves this trade season, and multiple veterans have emerged as potential targets.

Clutch Points NBA insider Brett Siegel said Monday that the Knicks are targeting several players before February's trade deadline.

"The Spurs and Pelicans have held talks with the Knicks regarding Yabusele, with New York targeting Jeremy Sochan, Jose Alvarado, and Yves Missi," Siegel said. "Dallas Mavericks forward Naji Marshall is another New York trade target.

Marshall is having a strong season for the Dallas Mavericks. He is averaging a career-high 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and shooting 54.5% from the field. The Mavericks may have a high asking price for Marshall, who is under contract through next season.

Alvarado has spent his entire five-year career with the New Orleans Pelicans. He is averaging 7.9 points, 3.2 assists and shooting 36.3% from three this season.

Siegel believes New York is looking to trade forward Guerschon Yabusele. Yabusele has been out of head coach Mike Brown's rotation after signing with the team last offseason.

The Knicks may want to replace Yabusele with Missi, who was taken No. 21 overall by the Pelicans in the 2024 Draft. Missi had an impressive rookie season, posting 9.1 points and 8.2 rebounds in 73 games.

But Missi has seen his role decrease this season for the Pelicans. He is averaging 19.1 minutes per game, a 7.7 minute drop from last season.

New York (27-18) is fourth in the Eastern Conference, 6.5 games behind the first place Detroit Pistons. The Knicks return to action Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings.
