The New York Knicks have had a nightmare run over the past few games. From being considered the best team in the Eastern Conference before the season started, now, they are looking to get back on track.

They have started their path of redemption with a 120-66 win against their cross-town rivals, the Brooklyn Nets. This is a huge victory for the Knicks because it can be the boost they need to regain their status as contenders.

Over the past few weeks, a lot of Knicks fans have started panicking about the team's results. They have been struggling to get wins, as they have more losses than wins since they beat the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Cup Final.

Now, the Knicks are looking to reset and regain their contender status. Getting the big win against Brooklyn is a good start. This is a confidence boost and an important result for head coach Mike Brown and the Knicks.

They needed a shot in the arm, and this win was a good one. It came against the Nets, which was extra motivation to get the win. The Knicks are rivals with the Nets, even though the latter are a bottom-dwelling team at this point.

"It's no secret to anybody, been a tough stretch for us. That's the beautiful thing about the NBA, quick turnarounds... It shows what we can do and are capable of," Landry Shamet said after the Knicks' victory.

Moving forward, the Knicks can build off of this win for the rest of the season. There are still plenty of games to play, so the Knicks can get past this blip and prove they are the best in the East.

It will be a challenging task, but that is the name of the game in the NBA. The East might be a bit easier than the Western Conference, but the Knicks can still live up to their expectations.
