The New York Knicks have hit a rough patch since their epic NBA Cup win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Much like the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks in the past, the Knicks have struggled to regain momentum, losing their last four games, including a lopsided 121-90 loss to the Detroit Pistons.
Despite the Knicks' recent struggles, there may be some positive news on the horizon for the New York Knicks.
The Knicks get Josh Hart Update
According to S NY Knicks Reporter Ian Begley, Josh Hart is close to returning to the lineup and could play as early as tomorrow night during the Knicks matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Knicks said last Friday that he was going to be re-evaluated in a week," Begley told on The Putback. "But based on how things have gone, I wouldn't rule out the idea that he's back before that. I think he's close, and they really need him."

Hart has missed the previous six matches for the Knicks due to a sprained ankle during the Knicks' matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day. Since his absence, the team has gone 2-4 without Hart in the lineup, clearly missing his much-needed physicality, rebounding, ball-handling, and overall toughness.
Before his injury, Hart averaged 12.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.4 steals.
While getting Hart back wouldn't address all of the team issues, it wouldn't provide the much-needed boost for a team looking to regain momentum as the season chugs along.
