The New York Knicks have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in the league. Having a record of 21-9 following their Christmas bout with the Cleveland Cavaliers, they have a clear shot at contending for the NBA championship. With their star players, Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns, leading the way, opposing teams have been having difficulty trying to pull off a win against the franchise.
Josh Hart rolls his ankle
However, things have seemingly taken a turn for the worse during their battle against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the 4th quarter, Josh Hart heads for the locker room after a Knicks fastbreak transition resulted in him rolling his ankle on an attempted layup. Hart was in obvious pain as he needed the help of his teammates to carry him up to the free-throw line for his foul shots.
Despite nailing both shots, the Knicks drew a quick foul as Hart limped straight towards the locker room to receive medical attention. As of this time, it is unknown how severe his injury is and how long he’s expected to be out. He left the game, finishing with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 made threes. The Knicks would go on to beat the Cavaliers 126-124.

Josh Hart is one of the Knicks’ essential role players, known to do a little bit of everything as an all-around player. With Hart out, the Knicks will have to rely on their reserves to pick up the void Hart will leave if he’s expected to be out. In addition, expect players like Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby to receive more usage.
