The New York Knicks snapped their four-game losing streak on Wednesday after demolishing the Brooklyn Nets by 54 points in a 120-66 victory.
In the win, guard Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 20 points despite struggling to shoot efficiently from the field. Earlier Wednesday afternoon, Brunson found out he will be a starter in next month's All-Star game for the second straight season, his third overall selection.
During the post-game interview, the now three-time all-star first mentioned how good it felt to end the four-game skid, but also took a moment to express his appreciation for the Knicks and the city when asked how it felt to be named as an All-Star once again.

"Means the world to me. I came here not knowing what to expect. But this place has embraced me. And I wouldn't have it any other way," Brunson stated.
There is no doubt that Brunson's career has flourished since signing with New York in the Summer of 2022, after spending his first four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks alongside Luka Doncic, averaging at least 24 points per game since becoming the focal point of the offense.
This past offseason, the guard made a team-friendly move by accepting $113 million less than his expected deal, giving the team the flexibility to make moves that would give them the best chance to win a title. Now that Brunson has experienced individual success, being recognized as one of the best players in the league, the Knicks' captain is looking forward to leading the team to an NBA title to repay New York for believing in him.
