Jalen Brunson injury update: Knicks star exited game early vs. Magic image

This certainly isn't what New York Knicks fans wanted to see.

Things were going poorly for the Knicks on Wednesday night as they were being outplayed at home by the Orlando Magic. To make matters worse, star guard Jalen Brunson left the game early after appearing to tweak his right ankle on a drive to the basket late in the fourth quarter of the contest.

Brunson was fouled on the drive, so he attempted his free throws before subbing out of the game and heading to the locker room with a noticeable limp. No immediate update regarding Brunson was provided by the franchise. Obviously the hope is that the injury isn't severe.

With Brunson on the sideline for the final minutes, Orlando finished off a 124-107 victory. With the loss, the Knicks dropped to 7-4 on the season.

Prior to exiting the game, Brunson played 37 minutes and tallied 31 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds. While the point production was impressive, it wasn't necessarily a great shooting night for Brunson, who converted 10 of his 23 field goal attempts.
