During the New York Knicks’ win against the Orlando Magic on Sunday, there was a very strange moment when Desmond Bane threw the ball off OG Anunoby at full force.

When looking back at the highlight, it seemed like Bane had plenty of space not to do that.

For whatever reason, it appeared he lost his cool for a moment and did something he shouldn’t have done.

Anunoby looked confused at first, and rightfully so.

A lot of the time, a play of that nature would result in a fight.

However, he kept his composure and said after the game that he found it somewhat funny.

“I was confused at first, then it was funny,” Anunoby said, per the NY Post. “I like Desmond. … He’s a good dude.”

To others, and to most Knicks fans, it wasn’t very funny.

DeMarcus Cousins, a former All-NBA center, even went as far as to say Bane should’ve been slapped for it.

“I‘m not saying punch him in the face, but maybe slap the [expletive] out of him,” Cousins said on FanDuel TV. “That’s crazy. Yeah, I’m not going for that; that’s crazy."

Cousins had his fair share of altercations during his time in the NBA, which some believe is part of the reason he’s not in the league anymore.

However, most probably would have reacted in a similar manner to what he wanted Anunoby to do.
