Timberwolves' Joan Beringer proves believers right in dominant night vs. Bucks image

Minnesota Timberwolves fans have been clamoring for rookie center Joan Beringer to get his chance.

With Rudy Gobert unavailable on Tuesday night in Milwaukee to take on the Bucks, Beringer got an opportunity. And he seized it.

It was the first time all year the rookie got into a game before the fourth quarter, and he ended up playing 30 impressive minutes.

His final stats:

  • 13 points
  • 5 rebounds
  • 2 assists
  • 6-7 FG
  • +30

Beringer got to work against Giannis Antetokounmpo for some of his time on the floor, too, quite the trial by fire.

Beringer was the No. 17 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of France. But at 6-foot-11 on a team with Gobert, Julius Randle and Naz Reid, there aren't a lot of spots for Beringer to get into games.

This proved that he can perform when called upon, though.

Now, the Timberwolves will have to decide how to utilize Beringer once their frontcourt is fully available.
