The Milwaukee Bucks stunned the NBA world Tuesday by signing Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million contract. To make the move, they waived superstar point guard Damian Lillard, stretching the remaining $113 million on his contract over the next five years.

Meanwhile, Turner lands the largest deal of his career following a productive 2024-25 campaign with the Indiana Pacers, during which he averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 three-pointers, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 assists per game over 72 regular-season appearances.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the veteran center initially hoped to remain in Indiana but pivoted to Milwaukee after being underwhelmed by the Pacers’ offers.

“The Pacers made several offers that were below market value — from what I understand,” Charania said.

An elite rim protector who can also stretch the floor, Turner will now join forces with Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Bucks push for another title and look to keep their two-time MVP satisfied.

Turner was the Pacers’ longest-tenured player and a key contributor to their 2025 NBA Finals run, which ended in a Game 7 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. After spending the first 10 seasons of his career in Indiana, the 29-year-old big man now joins one of the Pacers’ fiercest rivals.

He holds career averages of 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.2 assists across 28.8 minutes per game. He’ll replace Brook Lopez in Milwaukee’s frontcourt after Lopez signed a two-year, $18 million contract with the Clippers on Monday.
