The end of June has been a hectic time for the NBA. Following a seven-game series between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the NBA Draft rolled right in. Now, NBA free agency and a frenzy of trades have gone down.

The biggest name being floated for legitimate trade discussions is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks. The "Greek Freak" is still just 30 years old and has accomplished a great deal in the league.

Shams Charania reported on the Bucks forward Monday night:

Charania's report was short and sweet, but there was no real indication that the Bucks were completely disregarding trade opportunities:

"It's still wait and see. Giannis Antetokounmpo was open-minded about whether his best fit is in Milwaukee or elsewhere. I have not felt a shift from that mentality."

Antetokounmpo is a nine-time NBA All-Star. The 2019 and 2020 NBA MVP helped the Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Finals in 2021, where he was named Finals MVP.

The 2024-2025 season saw him score 30.4 points per game, second in the league behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City. He also added 11.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. Giannis shot 60.1% from the field this season. The Bucks reached the postseason but lost in five games in the first round to the Indiana Pacers. In the series, he averaged 33 points per game.

The Bucks’ roster is certainly changing. Damian Lillard is 34 years old and will miss much of the season with an Achilles injury. Taurean Prince and Bobby Portis, along with Pat Connaughton, are the only other players on the roster who are 30 or older. Milwaukee re-signed Kevin Porter Jr. this week to a two-year deal.
